Phaco Surgery

Phaco surgery is a modern, minimally invasive cataract procedure that uses ultrasound technology to remove the cloudy natural lens and replace it with a clear intraocular lens (IOL). It offers faster recovery, minimal discomfort, and excellent visual outcomes.

Overview

Phacoemulsification (Phaco Surgery) is the gold standard treatment for cataracts. During the procedure, a tiny incision is made in the eye, and an ultrasound probe breaks the cloudy lens into small fragments, which are gently removed. A premium or standard intraocular lens (IOL) is then implanted to restore clear vision. The procedure is usually completed within 15–30 minutes under local anesthesia and allows most patients to return home the same day.
